Reviews
We came here to celebrate a birthday and had a great time! 😃
The atmosphere was lovely, really great for conversation and enjoying the cuisine.
Our waitress Ash was wonderful, attentive, friendly and helpful. She really made the experience that much more special.
The food was delicious 😋, full of flavour and delightful in presentation. Be sure to try a bit of everything if you are in a group to get a full experience of flavours.
Highly recommended!
Excellent work dinner at Cinnamon Kitchen yesterday. We were a group of 9, and we got taken to a private dining area which was great as the main dining area got busy very quick. The staff who served the room was very attentive and the service was extremely quick.
We ordered different starters and mains, all of which tasted authentic and my favourite was the Lucknow chicken biriyani. The rice was puffy and the chicken was tender and spicy, the way the Biriyani should be. The pricing was very good and highly recommended.
NYE menu and service were fantastic. Special mention to Ashaa our hostess. Just graduated in hospitality. Excellent service and deserves a promotion. Made some new Guju friends, as people were out to party in the bar next door.
Did I say the food was spot on, five course. Tender lamb, chicken to perfection. Filled to the brim over two hours. Then party till the early hours.
Overall we had a nice family meal here. I was a little worried by some online reviews that complained about waiting times. However, I’m happy to say that we didn't experience such a problem. One of the first things I noticed with our shiny clean table was that the empty glass set in front of me was stuck hard to the table!! So hard that for a joke I asked other members of my family to pick up the glass!! The service was good although it could have been better if the waiter had proactively tried to help or recommend something when we were not sure what to order. I only got advice when explicitly asking for it. It seemed like the waiter was in a rush with many things on his mind judging by the way all the staff were running around on the floor. This did not give the restaurant or us a sense of relaxation about the place. Contrast that to the waiters I recently had at The Ivy who were far more observant and willing to offer advice and not running around like they were training for the Olympics. Our waiter did recommend the Lamb as something more spicy or hotter than the original main dish we were considering. Unfortunately, when the dish arrived it didn't have any spicey heat or kick to it at all. None of our dishes here can be described as having any level of heat/kick. So, whilst the food was well made with great subtle flavors, it's not spicy at all. If you have a friend who doesn't like spicy hot food, then this is one of the few Indian restaurants you can take them to. In that sense, this is not your typical Indian restaurant! Some people call it a fusion of English and Indian food. For dessert, I had the interesting-sounding Mango Brûlée. As with the main dishes, there was nothing chilli about it. The layer of sugar on top was only crispy on about a quarter of the surface. In summary, this place is at best nice, but if you're looking for a Michelin Star experience, then look elsewhere.
16 of us sat comfortably in the private dining room, which was a superb space with a window onto the worker bees in the kitchen. We had expedient, personable service throughout the evening from Ash and Petr. Both our servers conveyed a sincere enthusiasm for the food, Ash told us of her favourite dishes and her recommendations were excellent; the steamed chickpea cake, the house black lentils and the smoked paneer were particularly impressive. Excellent venue for large groups, and fantastic array of dishes on offer. Highly recommended.
Immersed in a culinary haven near our hotel, we indulged in a late-night feast that transcended expectations. The lamb, an exquisite dance of tenderness and flavor, harmonized flawlessly with enchanting sauces. The shrimp, ignited by a symphony of spices, sparked a soulful delight. The naan and lentils added their own magic to the tableau.
Then came the revelation of kulfi, an Indian ice cream masterpiece. Crafted with saffron and cardamom, it promises to redefine your dessert experience—an absolute must-try.
Yet, it was Ash who elevated this experience to extraordinary heights. Her kindness and passion resonated in every dish, as she painted the narrative behind the flavors. This culinary journey, guided by Ash's expertise, transformed a simple dinner into a memorable saga of taste and storytelling.
Perfect little oasis in the middle of London. Food was delicious and service was fantastic. Special mention to Peter who was a took care of us throughout the evening and made our evening even more special.
We came for the 15th anniversary event and the food was phenomenal.
The atmosphere felt like home - warm service with lots of conversations and laughter.
Thank you for creating this event - was so happy to be a part!
